former Sheriff of Maricopa Co.

Joe Arpaio is an American politician and former law enforcement officer, best known for serving as the 36th sheriff of Maricopa County in the U.S. state of Arizona. He was elected for six terms, from 1993 to 2017, making him the longest-serving elected sheriff in the history of Maricopa County.

With over 55 years of experience as a law enforcement officer, Arpaio's achievements have earned him the title of "the toughest sheriff in America" from the media. He served in the U.S. army during the Korean War. After being discharged, he began his career in the police force. He then served the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics for more than 26 years. Steven frank

Steven Frank, NFRA Founder

Frank called a friend, Phyllis Schlafly. She had spoken a few years before to the California Republican Assembly. At that time I told her about my idea for a national Republican Assembly movement. She informed me that the time was not right. Now, with the Dole comment, she was on board to form the NFRA.

We met the first weekend in December, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  I had been involved in D.C. with national conservative single issue groups and had friends in many States with the same ideology. Phyllis gave me the names of people in various States—and we started to call them.
There were 13 States present, plus Phyllis Schlafy flew in for the meeting.

Over the next four years I travelled to 44 States to form RA statewide clubs From New Hampshire to Oregon, we started the RA.  The Wall Street Journal sent a reporter to Iowa to cover my formation of the Iowa RA—and the story was on the front page of the Journal.

It was financed by a special fund raising project created by Greg Hardcastle, a CRA President. The Treasurer of the effort was Bill Cardoza.
History: After he won the 1996 Republican nomination for President, Senator Bob Dole was asked if he would support the Platform that was adopted. His answer was the catalyst for the formation of the National Federation of Republicans Assemblies. His response: “I have my own views and do not need to be told where I stand on the issues.”

Since the early 1980’s I had a plan to form Republican Assembly organizations in all the other States. They would be the home for conservatives as a training ground, promotion of ideas and policy. We would also run conservative candidates for office.

If you are ready to help take America back to its Constitutional roots then please join us!

The best symbol of the grassroots worker I can think of is the Republican Assembly...[NFRA's] thousands of dedicated men and women are the ones who turn all those modernistic campaign devices into real votes.
— President Ronald Reagan
The NFRA is a grassroots organization committed to helping our state Republican Assemblies reform the Republican Party to achieve their goal of a constitutional government. If you believe in small government, lower taxes, free market capitalism, a strong defense, the right to life, and Constitutional values, then the NFRA is for you.

Our aim is to Reclaim the Republican Party for Conservatives, Reform the Party back to its Conservative Values, and Restore Republicans faith in the GOP. We don't need a third party. We need to return the Republican Party to its pro-Constitution roots.

We are the  Republican wing of the Republican Party, the home of the Frederick Douglass Republicans, and "The conscience of the Republican Party." President Ronald Reagan. Founded in 1934 some have called the TEA Party before there was a TEA Party. We support true Republican candidates, endorse in primaries and work to restore the Republican Party to the values and principles of the Party of Reagan.

So join the NFRA today!
